* Government of India Fellowships @ ` 16,000/- per month for 1st and 2nd years and ` 18,000/- per month for 3rd year respectively available for the Indian students who have qualified NET for Lectureship only in population or its inter-disciplinary subjects conducted by the UGC. Such Ph.D. fellowship also carries a contingency grant of ` 10,000/- per year for the first two years and ` 20,500/- for the third year. However the candidates, without NET qualification shall be given fellowship @ ` 12,000/- per month for the 1st and 2nd years, and ` 14,000/- per month for the 3rd year, with a contingency grant of ` 10,000/- per year. Number of seats will be as per the availability of fellowships at the time of admission. In addition, UGC-JRF and other fellowship holders will also be considered for admission as per availability of seats.
Eligible foreign students may apply, provided they secure funds from appropriate agencies.
Foreign candidates may apply for the Government of India Post Doctoral Fellowship for consideration.
All the above fellowships shall be offered to only eligible Indian students. Reservation for SC, ST, OBC & PH candidates will be considered as per the Government of India norms. For further details see our website http://www.iipsindia.org.
